SUMMARY:One Voice\, One Heart
DESCRIPTION:National Network of Pastoral Musicians Conference July 24-26 2026 \nHighgate House Northampton NN6 8NN \nA weekend conference for all involved in music ministry. Through discussion\, idea-sharing\, and singing together with one heart and one voice\, participants may develop their musical skills and contribute to a sense of community within their churches\, encouraging one another in the valuable work of everyday liturgy in our local parishes. Importantly\, the conference offers the opportunity to meet and share experiences with others involved in church music from across the country. \nThe leadership team includes two LST lecturers. Steve Thompson\, together with his wife Velveta\, will lead a Sing Gospel workshop. Richard Hubbard will lead a Big Sing and a workshop on Ladder Conducting (a technique for teaching new songs to a congregation). \nCanon Peter Gunstone (priest musician previously involved in pioneer ministry in Bradford and now Precentor at Carlisle Cathedral) will speak on ‘One heart\, one voice – can people of diverse backgrounds and traditions become one people of God in worship?’ \nTheologian Dr Sue Price\, with her specialist interests in Children’s Spirituality\, the use of Godly Play and outreach work into parishes. \nThere will also be a workshop on the music of the Iona Community. \nMore information and booking: \nhttps://nnpm.org\nor email jburridge@me.com    \nThe conference price is £365 for full board\, with various lower price options available.     \nThe NNPM is an informal group of people from many denominations\, whose aim is to meet to learn from one another and to experience prayer and music in common.
