Joe Sample

Joe Sample

Really sad to hear the news of the passing away of one of the greatest musician that ever graced this earth. Joe Sample was a founding member of Jazz Crusaders who changed their name to The Crusaders in 1971. The band performed and recorded with Joni Mitchell. Marvin Gaye, Tina Turner and BB King but their most recognised work was the Grammy nominated ‘I’m So Glad I’m Standing Here Today’ and ‘This Old World’s Too Funky For Me’ with Joe Cocker from their 14th album ‘Standing Tall’.
