‘When we pray, we do more than pray’.

When we pray, we do more than pray!

This was a quote from my father, The late ‘Reverend VVB McGregor’. Jesus spoke continuously about prayer, when he travelled with His disciples.

Mark 11:24(NIV) Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Matthew 21:22, That all things whatsoever you ask for in prayer, believing, having faith in receiving, you shall receive if you ‘doubt not’.

There is power in prayer! The bible says that men should always pray and not give up. (Luke 18:1)

The bible also states that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16)

Over and over again we hear the importance of talking to God! “When we pray, we do more than pray”!

Indeed, there is power in prayer! Prayer moves mountains! Prayer pushes back the enemy! This I believe is why we get so distracted and forget how paramount our prayer lives are. The enemy knows that if we pray without ceasing we are doing damage to his plans, we are setting things in motion that he has no control over. Fear is immobilised and faith kicks into action! Wow! I’ll say that again, Fear is immobilised and Faith kicks into action!

When we pray, we are pulling down strong holds, backing up the forces against us and then releasing angels to work on our behalf. This is how powerful prayer is! Wow! “When we pray, we do more than pray”!

Get this, how much more damage would we accomplish, when we get an army of prayer warriors joining with us to petition God?

You may be mighty in prayer alone, but you can be mightier with someone joining you!  The Bible says that one will put one thousand to flight (meaning demons), but two will put ten thousand to flight!  (Leviticus 26:8;  Deut. 32:30).

There is power in agreement: NiV Mathew 18;19
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

So prayer is powerful and effective! Agreement is powerful and effective!

On that note, we have set up a webpage on our site to encourage an army of us to come into agreement and Pray, one for another.

Here’s what you do:

  1.  Go to our website (details below)
  2. Enter your prayer requests (anonymously if you choose) on our page.
  3. Each day let’s join with the masses bringing these prayer requests before God, then seeing results.

Please feel free to visit our Prayer Wall to post a prayer request or to help us pray

Shalom!
